KEY POINTS

  • More and more Major Contractors and House Builders are demanding that all site labour, direct or sub contract, have CSCS cards. If you do not have a card, you or your company, will not be allowed on site.
  • While places last, it will cost you NOTHING to get your card.
  • The programme is normally completed through 4 or 5 visits to the sites where you are working, by our fully qualified Assessors, who will explain what you have to do.
  • The Card you will gain is a Skilled Worker Card, which last for your lifetime. We operate anywhere in South East England.
  • Cards we offer:
    • Site Manager
    • Dry Lining Fixer (Tacker, Sticker, Partitioner)
    • Dry Lining Finisher (Jointer - Hand or Machine)
    • Plasterer
    • Renderer
    • Screeder
    • Ceiling Fixer (Suspended Ceilings)
    • Partition Fixer (Demountable)

WHAT DO YOU DO AND WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

  • Contact us and we will arrange for a qualified assessor who has gained his City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Candidates (A1 Award) to visit you to discuss the OSAT process, propose the best plan to satisfy your specific needs and identify the grants available to you.
  • Meet your workers on site to explain the scheme and carry out a personal skills review.
  • We then liase with the CITB to produce an individual Skills Match and Assessment Plan, for each worker.
  • Future visits are scheduled assessing your workers ability to do what he says he can (direct observation and underpinning knowledge questions) and to instruct and monitor his building of an Evidence Portfolio. Every visit produces a progress and action plan.
  • Your worker collects evidence (diary, photographs, witness statements) between visits.
  • We tell you how to book a CITB Health and Safety Test for your worker and how he can help improve his opportunity to pass.
  • Completed Evidence Portfolios are then approved by the assessor and forwarded to the Internal Verifier for signing off and forwarded to the CAA for the generation of his qualification.
  • Upon receipt of his NVQ Qualification and H&S Pass, we will tell you how to apply for his CSCS Card.
